Have you ever been hypnotized?

Last night some friends and I went to Side Splitters ,and there was a hypnotist there. I volunteered to go on stage. I have to say going in I did not believe that hypnosis was real. However, I did have an open mind when I went up there. So,the guy does his induction phase, and I can feel my body starting to feel funny. My heart starting beating really fast,and I sort of felt numb. I was still aware of where I was, but I really did feel different. The man tells us that our eyes are so heavy that we can't open them----but I try anyways---and to my surpirse, I can't open my eyes. It was the crazy! He then tells us that we are hot, and the sun is shining righ ton our faces--and I am telling you my face felt like it was on fire. In my mind I am trying to reason with myself. I am asking myself am I really feeling this, or I am tricking myself? Then I heard my bestfriend say my husband's name and that was it. I didnt feel anything, and I ended up leaving the stage. So I wanna know if you have ever been hypnotized, or if you believe in it? I am still skeptical.

I dunno..I did try one of those things like you did..where you volunteer to go up with a group..I never felt anything. I tried to go with an open mind..and some of those people acted like idiots. To me, it was realllllly hard to tell if they were just doing it to do it or bc they were actually hypnotized. It was soo cheesey and hokey that I just couldn't bring myself to believe it. I was the only one that left the stage. The guy said that those with closed minds and no imagination could never be hypnotized no matter what. I laughed at that bc I KNOW I have an open mind AND imagination!
