Default Show and Tell Consignment Sale

So, I finally made it to Show and Tell Consignment Sale in Turkey Creek, and it's so different. It was actually relaxing! I bought about 5 shirts for $14.50. A Tennessee shirt, a Billabong tee and a Gap long sleeved thermal top for my 2 y.o. and a Star Wars tee and Gap long sleeved thermal top for my 5 y.o. Everything was in great condition and nothing over $4 (that was for the 5 y.o. since it's so hard to get good second hand clothes for that age group of boys). And this is two full days after they opened, I was so pleased to see that it wasn't picked over!

Most merchandise was priced to sell and I was really impressed with the quality of clothes. Of course it's inevitable that one or two pieces will sneak in that don't look their best, but just ignore those, they're pretty rare.

In the home decor section I spotted a few plain curtains and some cute Christmas decorations (I love those old houses that light up)..

I also saw lots of cute Holiday outfits for the girls and plenty of good quality coats for the boys. It actually put the fun into consignment shopping again!

There were a few toys left including a ride on train, dolls, and bikes and the cutest Fire Truck bed. I'd definitely recommend checking it out tomorrow. Oh, and one woman had a shopping cart (yes they have a few of those, big bathrooms and relaxing classic music piped through the store) packed with clothes and I think it cost her around $150. Crazy!

Thanks Ali for the review. I'll be down in that area tomorrow, I will be doing my Christmas shopping. I'll try to stop by and check it out. I've been wondering if it was worth it.

Default Yeah!!

It is very relaxing to shop this sale. AND the couple who run it are really nice and helpful and excited to bring bargains to everyone in Knoxville

I found a beautiful red wool car coat with wooden toggle buttons for $5 AND play pants in a boys 6 (very excited)
granted it is not as big as the other one in town- but much more enjoyable.

A great sale! My only beef was the same one I have at every sale - how much consignors think their items are worth. Ugh!

Quality was fairly uniform at this sale. I only found two items that I wouldn't buy based on condition. But I bought Squishy several rompers and pajamas, got my older son a Pirates of the Caribbean jersey and a beautiful sweater, got my daughter some clothes. And I spent less that $30.

The store was huge, there was still a good enough selection that we stopped looking before we had seen it all. Good sale.

You bought my daughter's coat! LOL. I'm glad someone on here has it!! We loved that coat. It reminds me of Paddington.

Two thumbs up from me! I got baby a new vibrating seat with a lot of bells and whistles for $12. It was in excellent condition. Our old one bit the dust and I didn't want to pay full price for a new one since I only paid $5 for the first one. He loves it already. I also got a carters sleeper for $2 and a pair of khakis for J that don't look like they had ever been worn for $2.

I loved the music playing. And the wide open space was great. They had all the clothes organized by gender and size which made it easy to go to exactly where I needed. I agree with Stinkysmom in that a few had unrealistic expectations for prices. There was coat that I picked up that while nice, it wasn't $25 nice. But overall, good selection, good prices.

Jamesmom, I know this is OT, but I love your new signature. Unfortunately, the same holds true for my behind. Ah, well!

Thanks! Sadly it's true for my behind, my hips, my chest, my well...everything. But so worth it!
