About: A popular place to run and walk, Lakeshore Park provides spectacular vistas of Fort Louden Lake and the Smokey Mountains.

The park also includes vast recreational opportunities with 6 baseball/softball fields with lights, a soccer field and open space.

It is adjacent to the UT Golf Facility and Lakeshore Mental Health Institute.

At the upper baseball fields of Lakeshore Park is a small playground, sandbox, picnic table, and benches that are almost completely shaded in the afternoon sun (plus there seems to be a pretty steady breeze off the water). Simply enter the park through the entrance across from the cemetery, take a right at the parking lot on top of the hill, park in the first parking lot on your left (outside of the baseball field entrance). When you enter the gates to the baseball fields, the playground is maybe 30 yards away on your right.
