Where do you go when you want a birthday party with pony's involved? For Madison's 2nd birthday we went to the Ponderosa zoo, which was very cool and we had a great time. But as you all might know, I don't like to drive East of Papermill. Little did I know there is a great place not 5 minutes from my house!
Located 2 minutes from Hardin Valley Elementary school in a subdivision off a culdesac is a beautiful property that will make your party dreams come true! I pulled into the driveway and was greeted by one of the owners who helped me park and told me how to get down to the party and where the restroom was down there. We walked down a cute path alongside a waterfall and stream and over a wooden bridge past 3 very friendly horses that will demand you cuddle with them to the party site.
The main area is a large grassy area with games set up for the kids, ho la hoops, plastic horseshoe games and hay bales decorated with a saddle, rope and plastic bull heads. The pavilion is HUGE. 3 picnic tables in a line and then a larger "adult" table and chairs as well as lovely patio furniture give your guest plenty of room. From these seats you can still see everything going on which is great. Each kid got a cup that they could decorate and write their names on with the crayons on the picnic tables. Water and punch were provided as well as plates, napkins and plasticware.
To the left is a riding area. I am not talking about ponies in a contraption that goes around in circles. This is an obstacle course! The kids are taught how to steer, stop and go. They are taken over little bridges and around trees, through a small maze and past a mailbox to get the mail.
While waiting their turn they can play with the yard games which kept them pretty busy. BUT they brought out the best part of the party in my opinion, Willy! Willy is a very sweet, obviously loving horse because this pony is for decorating. There are brushes. There are hair clips. There was glitter hair gel and hundreds of stickers! Stickers! This horse was the prettiest horse I ever saw when they were done with him. Genius!
Remember those 3 horses that want to cuddle? That is where me and most of the adults hung out, and all was well and good until the kids discovered them and started feeding them. Once they started hand mowing the grass for the horses we were dead to them. Until it was time for the wagon ride. They brought out yet another pony to take the kids around in the wagon. They took them around the big horse pasture which was HUGE, not once but twice.
Affordable? Yep. A 10 kid party for an hour and a half is 150.00, 20 kids and 2 hours is 220.00. They do lessons too!
The kids loved it. I loved it. The property is beautiful and so well maintained. The horses are amazing, the owners are so wonderful and nice. This is literally a party where you bring the cake and goodie bags and your done. Oh, but don't forget your camera, the pictures are sure to be wonderful!

They're in our June magazine party guide! And I met a girl on the weekend who had just come from a party on Saturday there and said it was great too!

Nope, they just have horses and ponys, natural style. It is a private property and they started doing lessons and parties. No crazy creating. ;)

Are they the ones with a zebra/donkey cross? I love stables, but I can't support groups who create such things.
